Scope of Warranty

Deft Craftsman, LLC (the "Company") hereby guarantees to the original purchaser that both the materials supplied and the labor performed in the execution of home improvement projects are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of project completion. This warranty extends only to home improvement projects performed directly by the Company in the State of New Jersey.

 

Terms of Warranty

1. Labor and Materials: This warranty covers both the materials supplied and the labor conducted by the Company. Should any materials or workmanship prove defective during the warranty period, the Company will replace or repair the defective materials and correct the workmanship at no additional cost to the customer.

2. Warranty Period: The coverage under this warranty extends for one year from the date of the completion of the work, as noted on the customer's invoice or work order.

3. Exclusions:

   • This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alterations, acts of nature, or accidents.

   • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic issues such as discoloration or fading over time are not covered.

   • Repairs or alterations made by parties other than Deft Craftsman, LLC are not covered by this warranty.

   • Materials or equipment not supplied by the Company are excluded from this warranty, unless otherwise specified in the contract.

4. Claim Procedure:

   • To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must contact the Company in writing within the warranty period, providing proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue.

   • The Company will assess the claim and inspect the alleged defect within a reasonable time frame.

   • If the claim is validated, the Company will schedule and perform the necessary repairs or material replacements promptly.

5. Limitations of Liability: This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective materials and correction of workmanship. The Company is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages or costs associated with the direct or indirect damage from the defects.

6. Transferability: This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

7. Governing Law: This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

 

Miscellaneous

This warranty supersedes all prior oral or written representations. Any modifications to this warranty must be in writing and signed by both the customer and a duly authorized representative of Deft Craftsman, LLC.

 

Acknowledgment

By accepting the services provided, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this warranty.
